Introduction WME1 is produced by unique process in which carbon black is pre-dispersed, then compounded with the polymer additive through plastication. It is widely used in injection, extrusion pipe and blow film applications. It features low dosage, high blackness, good brightness, excellent heat resistance, outstanding dispersibility and tinting power.

The cost argument: same blackness, less masterbatch This is the simplest way to compare black masterbatches - work out how many kilograms you feed per tonne of pipe. Worked example. Target: 0.30% carbon black in the pipe wall.
Both pipes carry the similar carbon black. WME1 gets there with about 5 kg less masterbatch per tonne , roughly 22% less material. At 5,000 tonnes of annual pipe output, that is about 27 tonnes of masterbatch you no longer buy, store or handle.
Where WME1 - the black masterbatch is usedNon-pressure sewer and drainage pipe (gravity systems) in HDPE, MDPE and PP , typical SN4 and SN8 classes; Corrugated and double-wall drainage pipe for municipal, highway and agricultural drainage ; Injection moulded drainage parts : fittings, inspection chambers, manhole components; Industrial blown film : garbage bags, seafood bags, construction and agricultural sheeting ;
Drainage pipe does not carry drinking water and is normally buried, so it does not need filler free, high purity masterbatch. That is exactly the gap WME1 fills : clean, well-dispersed black at a price that suits volume pipe production.
Why buyers pick WME1 - Black MasterbatchConsistent black compare batch to batch. Pre-dispersed carbon black means no dark and light batches within one order; No black specks. Dispersion of Level 3.0 or better keeps agglomerates out of the pipe wall , fewer rejects, fewer customer claims; Fewer kilograms per tonne. 17% carbon black cuts your letdown rate against the 13% carbon black grade.; One grade, three processes : Pipe extrusion, injection and blown film from with single product; Low moisture (≤ 0.3%). Less pre-drying, fewer surface defects; RoHS compliant; OEM accepted.
FAQDoes 17% carbon black enough for buried sewer pipe? Yes. Buried pipe is not exposed to long-term sunlight, and black is mainly for identification and appearance. At 1–5% dosage WME1 gives a deep, uniform black through the full wall thickness. If your pipe is stored outdoors for long periods and must resist UV, ask us about our higher-carbon outdoor grades. https://www.jolink-masterbatches.com/product/category/water-supply-pipe-and-drip-irrigation-tube-black-masterbatch
Can we switch from the masterbatch we use now? In most cases, yes. Send us your current grade's carbon black content, your dosage and your pipe type. We will recommend the starting dosage and supply trial sample , so you can verify on your own production line before ordering.
Is the price per kilogram higher than a 13% grade? Often slightly, because there is more carbon black in every bag. What matters is cost per tonne of pipe, not cost per bag. At the dosages in the example above, most pipe producers reduce their total masterbatch spend. Send us your current figures and we will run the comparison for you. https://www.jolink-masterbatches.com/contact-us
Do you accept OEM? Yes. Your brand and logo, your bag, your specification.
Packing and Storage 25kg/bag, PE or Composite Paper bag Stored under dry, enclosed and cool conditions, protected from UV rays and/or direct sunlight. After used, the opened packaging must be resealed properly to prevent the product from absorbing moisture, which could affect its performance.
